Every filling layer starts with loose fiber. For Kaiya Baby, the process involves separating fine camel wool from coarse hair, cleaning it, blending it with SORONA® polyester, and forming it into a stable filling layer before it goes into the sleep sack.
After blending, the fiber web still needs structure before it becomes a sleep sack filling layer. Kaiya Baby uses a needle-punched construction, in which fine barbed needles help the camel wool blend fibers interlock through the layers instead of relying on spray adhesive to hold the web together.
